You could ask a maintenance or servicing team to come and take a look, to see if it can be fixed easily with the relevant spare parts. If it’s beyond repair or is more trouble than it’s worth, it could be time for a replacement.
The latter is a tough decision to make. A new humidity control system would improve efficiency and the quality of your products, but with high costs and potentially months of waiting for your new system to be designed and built, it can be unfeasible for some businesses.

What is Dehumidifier Refurbishment?
Dehumidifier refurbishment is a great alternative to replacing the existing system or relevant parts. There will be minimal downtime for your production lines and allows you to get more out of your dehumidifier than originally planned, unless it developed issues earlier than it should’ve.
We offer two types of refurbishment services:
On-site dehumidifier refurbishment is often a quicker procedure. Everything will be done at your application during a time that suits you. As the machinery won’t need to be physically moved, there is minimal disruption to your workflow. This also reduces costs, transporting larger units can be expensive, especially if there is a long journey back to our site.
For off-site dehumidifier refurbishment, DEHUM engineers will manage the machine/equipment being removed from your application and transported to our workshop. This is a necessity if it’s a complicated job, as we have access to the best equipment, parts, and team members at our base of operations. It also removes the need to order in replacement parts, as we’ll almost certainly have all that’s needed on our site.
If your humidity control system is being used for pharmaceuticals or in the food and drink industry, the refurbishment needs to meet the relevant health and safety/cleanliness requirements, which may not be possible on your factory floor.
Often the choice is made for you. If there is an issue that can’t be resolved on site, your machine will have to be removed for a short period of time. If it’s a simple fix, our experts will handle it there and then.
Unlike other dehumidifier providers, we’ll equip your application with a replacement machine while yours is being refurbished off-site. We care about the success of your business and would never ask you to shut it down because of a fault with your dehumidifiers. Instead we’ll remove the existing system and replace it as soon as possible so there is minimal interruption.
