In particular, Tyrrells are using the money to increase automation across their production line and reducing the ‘touch points’ where crisps can be broken before sent for packaging, resulting in less breakage and a more premium eating experience. They investment also means that Tyrrells are able to increase the size of their crisps which are now 40-50% larger than those previously made by the company.
To take advantage of the investment, Tyrrells will be offering consumers an on-pack money back guarantee if they aren’t satisfied with the products. The promotion will run from September 2017 to March 2018. Additionally, Tyrrells have launched a new TV ad campaign with the tagline ‘absurd what we do’.
