Ice rinks, indoor skiing halls

High humidity causes various problems in ice rinks, creating fog, bad ice, high energy consumption costs, smell and structural degradation.

HB Drying Systems desiccant dehumidification systems reduce all of these problems and allow operators to meet indoor air quality (IAQ) standards at the same time.

In Ice rinks the walls, ceilings, pipe work etc within the building is cooled by the large ice surface. A low dew point in the air is required in order to prevent condensation forming on the cold surfaces. Our desiccant dehumidifiers are designed for low dew point / low temperature applications. From a technical and economical point of view only an adsorption system should be considered. Generally we recommend air conditions of 4c-6°c dewpoint.
